6 New Year’s Decorating Ideas For Your Home

“New year, new me!” that’s the famous phrase you’ll see thrown around, but one phrase you don’t see as often is “new hear, new home!”. Buying a new home is an expensive investment, but upgrading and decorating your current home could be a great way to add some more style to your pad!

Whether you are decorating for the holidays or just for a new look, there is so much to do with so little money. All of these ideas are super budget-friendly, so don’t sweat it if you can’t afford to go out and buy everything on this list! You can still have a great-looking home that doesn’t cost a fortune.

1. Update Your Entryway

If you don’t want to move home but want it to feel like it has had an upgrade, make sure the front door is the first thing you focus on, as it is the first thing you see when walking through the door. A brand new wooden door from Timbawood is a great investment for the new year and for years to come.

2. Add Some Color To The Kitchen & Living Room

Does your home have a neutral color scheme? Break up the monotony by inviting bright colors to the kitchen and living room. Try painting each wall a different color or adding in some throw pillows with vibrant designs to bring in color! Do something different than what you would normally do if you want to get 2022 off on the right foot!

3. Create A Vibrant Wall Display

Forget about dull picture frames that are all the same. Instead, look for a way to display your family photos in a fun and unique way. Try finding a large wall or even a wall and hanging all of your favorite photos from the past year, but have them spaced out just enough so that you can see them from far away.

Add in some statues or other ornate decorations as well to really bring out the details!

4. Add Some Personal Touches

You don’t need to do this for every room in the house, but adding in some personal touches could really bring out your home’s style. You can add in anything from a rug with a unique pattern to a new bed! Make sure everything is coordinated, though, or it will all look like a mess.

5. Pamper Yourself In Your Own Bathroom

Buy a new towel set and some other bathroom accessories such as a shower curtain and bathrobe to really bring your home’s style together. Make sure this is all within your budget, though! It’s not good if you go over the budget so much that it leaves you feeling bad.

6. Buy New Curtains

If your home’s style isn’t necessarily boring, but it could use some updating, then adding in fancy drapes should do the trick. Curtains can be used to decorate, and they can also be used to cut down the amount of natural light in your home. Don’t go crazy with the price, though; curtains should still be within your budget.
